The sun's energy is effectively limitless and we believe it is set to play a dramatically
increasing role in replacing our reliance upon harmful hydrocarbons.
The sun's rays can be utilised to silently produce completely green power without
the need for moving parts and would require no maintenance. The technology is such
that solar cells last in excess of 25 years, providing power to both on-grid properties,
as well as in rural locations.
The potential for mankind to harness it is vast indeed, particularly in the 'sunbelt',
the region of the world between latitude 30° north and 30° south. In this
region the payback time of a solar module is under two years, and continues to fall
as the cost of production is reduced and technology continues to advance.
According to the studies of German Advisory Council on Global Change, solar power
is expected to become the dominant energy source within this century.
